Tell us about yourself
I’m Arshi, a freelance Tableau developer based in Mumbai, India. My career began in 2018 when I entered the tech world as a web developer before finding my way into data analytics. Before that, I had completed an engineering degree and later stepped away from the workforce to focus on being a stay‑at‑home mom. When I restarted my career, I invested heavily in upskilling through courses. After several years of being active in the Tableau community, I was selected as a Tableau Ambassador in 2025. This achievement reflects my journey’s progress and is very special to me.
How did you hear about DVS?
I heard about DVS through Twitter. So I joined the Slack channel and that was how I started as a DVS member.
What has been the most beneficial aspect of being a DVS Plus member?
Joining the Mentorship Program as a mentee has been incredibly beneficial, helping me gain confidence in my work. I also love participating in Future Fridays, led by the infogr8 team, where we are given the same dataset to visualize under the guidance of a topic expert. Although I don’t come from a design background—which has been one of my biggest pet peeves—being part of DVS provides a valuable opportunity to meet and learn from designers. The community here is so talented and there is always something to learn from everyone.
