We can’t wait to see what amazing work is created for consideration for the 2023 Information is Beautiful Awards. Scroll down for details about timelines and submission fees to make a plan to submit your work!
Eligibility and submission time frame
Works created from September 1, 2022 to August 15, 2023, will be eligible for consideration for the 2023 Information is Beautiful Awards across both the category awards and the Special Awards.
Works considered for the Test of Time include those published or launched from September 1, 2012 to August 15, 2013 (10 years prior to the eligibility period).
Submission fees
Fees will remain the same for the 2023 Awards. For the 2022 IIB Awards, more than half of the entries were free / public works submissions, and we’re thrilled to continue to offer inclusive ways to submit and have your work featured in the gallery. Remember that submission fees are critical to supporting the operating costs of running the Awards program – including the cash prizes – and any additional revenue from the Awards supports the mission of the Data Visualization Society, a 501c3 nonprofit membership association.
Fees are as follows:
Agencies / Studios / Brands / Companies (>5 team members) USD $200 per piece entered
Media Outlets / NGOs / Gov’t / Education USD $100 per piece entered
Solo Practitioners / Small Companies (≤5 team members) USD $50 per piece entered
Small companies or nonprofits from low and middle income countries (≤5 team members) USD $10 per piece entered
Students / members of the public whose work has not been professionally commissioned or published – Free
For the no-fee categories, we ask submitters to self-attest that they qualify based on the description provided. If you are found ineligible for the application type you chose in the sole judgment of the IIB Awards team, your entry may be disqualified and you will be notified accordingly.
If your entry requires an entry fee, payment is expected at the time of or concurrently with submission.
